Official Launch Event

This is not another panel. It's a working launch. The Adaptation Exchange invites you to roll up your sleeves. Meet the Founding Members from Allianz, Bayer, Vonovia, PwC, ERM and StartUps like SustainAccount, hear ABB share leadership insights from their internal climate resilience journey, and then get to work: join one of three workstreams and directly shape the Resilience Standard, the Business Case for Adaptation, or the Adaptation Stack. The evening wraps up with an apéro, drinks, and snacks: Plenty of space to connect across sectors. If you believe resilience is built through collaboration, not in silos - this one is for you.

When: May 6 (3pm - Apéro)

Where: PwC Office Zurich

Crossing the Cold

Adaptation hurts at first.

The cold hits, your body resists, every instinct tells you to turn back. But you adjust. You breathe. You move forward - and you're not alone. That is effective adaptation: uncomfortable at the start, possible when prepared, powerful when done together.

At sunrise during Climate Week Zurich, we cross Lake Zurich from Badi Utoquai to Rentenwiese. A living metaphor for the resilience journey ahead. This swim marks the launch of the Adaptation Exchange and supports UNIDO´s fundraising for climate resilience projects.

Limited spots. Very experienced open-water swimmers only. (But everybody may join us at Rentenwiese at around 7.30am)

When: May 7 (6.45am)

Where: Start at Utoquai, Arrival at Rentenwiese (~7.30am)

The Climate Adaptation Lab: From Risk Scores to Real Decisions

You've got the risk scores. Now what?

This hands-on workshop takes you from climate risk modelling to actual business decisions - using real tools, not slide decks.
In Part 1, you work directly with Correntics' climate risk software on a realistic company dataset, identifying critical exposures across operations and supply chains.
In Part 2, the Adaptation Exchange guides you from risk insight to resilience action: in groups, you'll draft a CEO briefing or CFO investment pitch based on your findings. Bring your laptop - this is a working session for practitioners ready to turn data into decisions.

When: May 5 (1.30pm)

Where: Bluelion, Josefstrasse 219
