The Adaptation Exchange is the door opener for corporate climate adaptation, helping companies move from recognising climate risk to acting on it. Once a company knows it needs to act, the Adaptation Stack shows what works.

The tool gives a company a structured overview of adaptation solutions, mapped to hazards and across the value chain, so it can see what options exist and where to focus. It starts from what a holistic adaptation approach involves, from foresight and prevention to continuity and recovery. From there it narrows down to the principal options for a given hazard, and then to specific solutions for specific problems, along with the providers behind them. This way, a company moves from awareness to concrete response, while the choice and the implementation remain with the company.

 

The tool does not rank solutions by how well they work, since that depends on each company's situation. Instead, it sets out the criteria a company can use to judge which solution suits its own case.
